Dynamic Systems Theory
ORYX GO uses the Dynamic Systems Theory to combine hundreds of variables into a handful of relevant parameters for in depth gait analysis and assessment of motor control, offering a clear view on how movement emerges.
This so called ‘collective variables’ (Kelso 1988) enable you to zoom into the building blocks (like joints or limbs) on an almost microscopic level. When zooming out, the interaction of multiple building blocks appears and how they contribute to the context of a human gait cycle and locomotor skills.
This approach not only provides information about movement skill on a very fundamental level. Just as important as the analysis, this unique method enables you to link the outcome metrics directly to exercises with a very high specificity for optimal and sustainable results.
