ORYX Knee Stability

Conduct comprehensive knee function assessments of patients who have undergone knee replacement or ACL-reconstruction for screening and monitoring the rehab process.

Using only a couple of sensors, ORYX Knee Stability is beyond a mere electronic goniometer, providing insights into not only the knee ROM (Range of Motion) and knee valgus measurements but also the quality of stabilization during dynamic loading while walking or running.

  • Motion capturing with wearable sensors
  • Cloud storage of your data
  • AI-powered movement analysis

For the assessment of knee mobility during:

  • walking and running gait
  • double and single leg squats
  • hops (future feature)

What you get:

  • 4 motion trackers (IMUs – Movella/Xsens DOT)
  • Motion data hub
  • 4G Tablet
  • Straps
  • Motion capture and analysis app

FAQ

These FAQ’s contain most of the answers to the questions you are looking for. If you don’t see the question that you might have, then please don’t hesitate to contact us.

ORYX Knee stability is ideal for assessing knee stability, providing valuable insights into a patient’s knee-loading ability. It is particularly beneficial for those recovering from knee replacement or ACL reconstruction, where it can play a crucial role in determining return-to-play readiness.

The exact time from setup (mounting sensors to the body + calibration) to useful information depends on the amount of tests conducted. On average a full assessment (4 tests) can be completed within 10 to 15 minutes.

Yes, we’re planning to introduce hop-tests and a bikefit test in the future. While overhead movements are not on our current roadmap, we’re open to exploring other assessments based on user feedback and requests

We use the Movella DOT IMU’s (formerly Xsens)

The app provides a measurement tutorial, and there are various training materials and courses available for interpreting and using kinematic data. Additionally, our Service Level Agreement ensures you receive full support from our specialists when needed.

You can use the system both indoors and outdoors since it’s fully mobile. For walking assessments, it’s ideal to have an obstacle-free pathway of at least 10-15 meters, while for running assessments, 30-50 meters is recommended due to the rhythmic nature of gait.

Unfortunately not. This is not possible due to the technical limitations of the wireless technology we use. For a full body system we would like to redirect you to other mocap manufactures.

Your data is securely stored on servers located in Europe, ensuring compliance with European data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR). We take data privacy seriously and implement robust security measures to safeguard your information.

Client Testimonials

5/5

“We use ORYX data to optimize training programs for sports performance and interventions in rehab. It enables us to target specific areas of movement demanding improvement.”

5/5

“We knew so many things about my body after hundreds of different tests. However, ORYX’ movement analysis made the pieces of the puzzle fit together, resulting in more understanding, a better context and more effective training. This was exactly what me and my team have been looking for“
