ORYX Gait Observation Movement insights for real-world performance and rehabilitation

Empower your practice or team with ORYX GO, a portable motion capture system designed for precise, actionable insights in natural environments. Whether you’re focused on enhancing athletic performance or guiding recovery, ORYX GO delivers real-world data that aligns with the athlete’s or patient’s experience and perception.

Optimize performance across human locomotion

ORYX GO provides a comprehensive analysis of human locomotion and functional movements, delivering deeper insights than traditional assessments. A single gait assessment can reveal more about movement efficiency, coordination, and performance potential than the combined results of multiple standard tests (Baker, 2016).

Performance Assessment

Perform running or functional movement assessments for recreational athletes, local events, or team screenings. ORYX GO identifies inefficiencies in mechanics and refines techniques, helping athletes enhance performance while building resilience to meet the demands of their sport.

Focused Rehabilitation

Address (chronic) injuries with precision insights into coordination, stability, and movement timing. ORYX GO supports targeted and effective rehabilitation strategies tailored to individual recovery needs.

Post-Surgery Recovery

Facilitate recovery following ACL reconstruction, hip, or knee replacement surgery with ORYX GO. Gain detailed data on movement dynamics to guide precise interventions, ensuring a smoother path to regaining strength and mobility.

Key features

Portable and versatile

Assess movement anywhere—on the field, in the clinic, or at the gym. ORYX GO’s wearable sensor design allows you to analyze real-world movement dynamics without the limitations of a lab setting.

Real-time monitoring and reporting

Get immediate insights with fast setup and a comprehensive report generated within ten. Monitor key kinematic events during movement sessions, ensuring timely interventions.

Cloud-based storage and analysis

Data is securely uploaded to the cloud, where it is analyzed with advanced algorithms. This ensures comprehensive insights and the ability to track progress over time, all while maintaining high data privacy standards.

Integration with training and rehabilitation plans

ORYX GO links directly to performance and recovery interventions, tailored to your specific goals.

Ecologically Valid data

Assess movement as it naturally occurs, outside of controlled lab environments.

Tailored Interventions

Translate data into targeted exercises, programs, or training plans that drive measurable results.

Proven Results

Use data-driven interventions to reduce reinjury rates and improve long-term outcomes.

Transform movement data into actionable progress with ORYX GO.

ORYX Knee Stability

Targets key aspects of ACL rehab, including knee stability, coordination, and movement quality under dynamic, load-bearing conditions. It provides actionable insights to guide recovery, rebuild motor control, and ensure a confident return to activity.

ORYX Hamstring

Focused on hamstring rehabilitation and performance, the ORYX Hamstring App provides precise insights into postural control, pelvic stability, and load distribution. It helps to develop targeted strategies to rebuild strength, coordination, and resilience, ensuring athletes are ready to perform at their best

In what ways will ORYX GO benefit my practice?

Our customers use the ORYX GO to scrutinize the causes of physical constraints easier and faster in order to set up targeted and efficient rehab interventions or training programs. It is also used to monitor trends to adjust training or treatment when necessary.

  • Improve your understanding of movement: ORYX Go provides a comprehensive and objective assessment of human movement, which can help you to identify areas for improvement. This information can be used to develop more tailored and effective treatment plans for your patients.
  • Save time and resources: ORYX Go is a quick and easy-to-use system, so you can spend less time on assessments and more time on treatment. The online portal also makes it easy to store and access your patients’ data, so you can track their progress over time.
  • Provide better patient outcomes: By using ORYX Go to improve your understanding of movement and develop more tailored treatment plans, you can help your patients to achieve better outcomes. This can lead to improved patient satisfaction and loyalty.
What is the investment I have to make to start using ORYX GO?

Please contact us for pricing.

How long does it tak from measurement to useful information?

The exact time from setup (mounting sensors to the body + calibration) to useful information depends on the amount of tests conducted. On average a full assessment (4 tests) can be completed within 10 to 15 minutes.

Are you going to add extra tests in the future?

Yes, we’re planning to introduce hop-tests and a bikefit test in the future. While overhead movements are not on our current roadmap, we’re open to exploring other assessments based on user feedback and requests

For wich purposes / treatments can I use the ORYX GO?

ORYX GO is versatile and can help address various movement quality issues within the locomotion system. This includes pinpointing causes of lower back pain, assessing core stability, evaluating hip or knee loading post-joint replacement, and analyzing dynamic quadriceps/hamstring coordination, among other applications. Please note this is not an exhaustive list.

What science is the analysis based on?

Please check out our  dynamic systems theory page.

Where can I use the product the best?

You can use the system both indoors and outdoors since it’s fully mobile. For walking assessments, it’s ideal to have an obstacle-free pathway of at least 10-15 meters, while for running assessments, 30-50 meters is recommended due to the rhythmic nature of gait.

Is there a full body setup of ORYX GO available?

Unfortunately not. This is not possible due to the technical limitations of the wireless technology we use. For a full body system we would like to redirect you to other mocap manufactures.
